For those companies wishing to enhance the productivity of their teams without engaging in an ongoing consulting relationship, our individual leadership programs would be a good fit. These programs range from a few hours to multi–day courses that split time between academic seminars and experiential training. Our programs divide participants into small, dynamic teams that create their own identity and set goals to accomplish throughout the program.
Our programs engage each team on what it means to be part of a high–performance team, the role and responsibility of each team member, and what is required of an inspiring leader. The concepts learned in seminar are tested in an experiential challenge that involves competition between teams.
Our most popular program involves the Olympic rowing program in which each team is placed in a racing shell and experiences rowing under the guidance of elite–level coaches. Participants learn the value of creating demanding yet achievable
common objectives while simultaneously providing a framework for individual accomplishment. Challenging eight individuals, who are unfamiliar with the sport of rowing, to work together to successfully race a 60–foot boat seems like a daunting task at first. However, by breaking the objective into smaller more manageable goals, participants see an increased learning curve and a tremendous amount of accomplishment in something that otherwise seemed near impossible.
Other experiential challenges such as filmmaking, historical expeditions, and dragon boating drive home the classroom lessons and help participants feel greater confidence in their leadership abilities. Each of our programs include a mixture of academic discovery, challenge, and inspiration that provide each participant the tools required for effective leadership while allowing them to test these new skills in an unfamiliar environment.
