2008 SUMMER ROWING LEAGUE Print

WHAT IS THE SUMMER ROWING LEAGUE?

The Summer Rowing League is an opportunity for people to get together to row once per week in the summer with a coach. We will divide you into teams based on your skill level, or you can join with your friends to make up an entire crew. You and your team will bond in this great team building exercise; you can row with your team recreationally or compete in some US Rowing sanctioned regattas!


WHAT IF I'VE NEVER ROWED?

That's okay. We accommodate all levels of rowers, including complete novices at all ages over 18 years old.


CAN I JOIN BY MYSELF?

Absolutely. You can join on your own, with one or two friends, or join as an entire eight person crew. It's a great way to meet people and make new friends! If you don't join as an entire eight person team, we will form teams on the first night based on your experience level.



DATES: June 14th through August 2nd, 2008.  You will be rowing one time per week.


TIME: Weeknights starts at 6:30 PM on goes until dark. Weekend sessions are in 2 hour sessions in the morning.


PRICE:  $425 per person. You will row once per week. Payment can be made in cash or by credit card. Fee does not include optional regatta fees if you wish to race.

What is the Dad Vail Regatta?

Held for almost seventy five years, the Dad Vail Regatta continues to be the largest collegiate regatta in the world! Held along the banks of the Schuylkill River during the second weekend in May, the Dad Vail attracts thousands of spectators who watch over 2,400 competitors compete from over 100 universities from all over the United States.


The 2008 Dad Vail Corporate Challenge is being held on May 10, 2008.

What is the Dad Vail Corporate Challenge?

Since 2000, Corporate Sponsors of the Dad Vail Regatta have been offered, as part of their sponsorship package, the opportunity to compete in the regatta's ‘Corporate Challenge' race. This race is the Capstone of a unique, six week team building experience facilitated by Team Concepts, a team building and leadership development organization. There are four racing divisions based on the rowing experience of your crew.

A Unique Sponsorship Opportunity and Team Building Event for your Company!

Your organization's participation in the Dad Vail Corporate Challenge is a great opportunity to increase the visibility of your organization as well as provide an invaluable team building experience for your fellow employees. For five weeks in the spring, eight men and women from your company will be taught to row by Team Concepts staff of professional coaches and rowers. Training tips, team building exercises, and racing strategies by Team Concepts supplement these five weeks. On race day, colleagues, friends, and family are invited to watch the big race as well as participate in the post-race barbecue and awards ceremony.

Your Tax Deductible Fee:

Your sponsorship fee is $5,000 for each boat. Since the Dad Vail Regatta is a non-profit organization, your entry fee is tax deductible.

Team WhoDunnIt Detective Mystery Print

Oh no! Someone has kidnapped the boss and they are holding her for ransom for gummie bears!!  This is one scenario your team can create for our creative Team WhoDunnIt Detective Mystery.  Choose your mystery - CSI type crime solving, the mystery murders, stolen art - this unique team building program is very popular at Halloween! Your group will be broken down into teams and will have to solve a mystery of your choice. This is a fun role playing exercise that emphasized problem solving through collaborative cooperation.

 
Team Treasure Hunt Print

Join us for your exciting next team building event, where the search for treasures is the goal of the day! Your colleagues must work together as a team to recover the most treasures on the list. The treasure hunt list is customized to the location of the hunt, which is an exciting way for your team to explore their environs, have fun, and build a high performance team!

 
Team Olympic Games Print

The Olympic Spirit reigns over this unique team building event for your participants. This Olympic festival is complete with a torch run, lighting of the flame, opening ceremony, parade of flags, and closing ceremony. The Olympic Festival games are metaphorical and are simulated games based on actual summer and winter Olympic sports. This is a high energy and competitive team building and leadership training exercise. All participants receive a medal for the day's achievements, to be placed around their necks in a closing ceremony conducted by an actual Olympic athlete!
