Team Dragon Boating, while still maintaining the allure of racing on the water, is different than our rowing program in that a single boat can accommodate 20 – 30 people which greatly changes the dynamics of the day. Each boat will be provided with three to four experienced paddlers and will be directed by an elite level dragon boating coach. Throughout the day participants will learn the value of teamwork and discipline as they learn to paddle together, listen to verbal commands from the drummer, and discover the different strength sets of their teammates. Clients who choose to paddle on the famous Schuylkill river will immediately feel the essence of dragon boating as Philadelphia is one of the premier Dragon Boating centers in the country and home to the US Dragon Boating National Team.
Team Dragon Boating highlights Secret 1, becoming part of something larger than oneself, more than any other program. Paddling together rhythmically evokes a camaraderie and spirit that drives high–performance. Participants lose themselves in the team effort and learn the importance of leading a team with a clear common objective and a sense of belonging for all team members. When the entire boat is locked into cadence, the experience does become something truly bigger than the sum of the parts and potential for achievement soars.
